The preliminary results were presented on 7th International Symposium on Pneumococci and Pneumococcal Disease (ISPPD-7) held in Tel Aviv, Israel, March 14 – 18, 2010. The symposium was devoted to the many aspects of pneumococci and pneumococcal diseases. The scientific program highlighted the latest scientific achievements and enhanced existing knowledge. Topics covered epidemiology, bacteriology, pathogenic mechanisms, clinical aspects, prevention and treatment.
